With the help and support of his wife, Carol, John Bushman is the founder, CEO and Chairman of ICA, whose winning record of successful businesses started in 1969 with two used cars on a small lot in Midland, Texas. But it was the manufactured housing business that laid the foundation upon which A-1 and then ICA companies grew. A-1/ICA has not only weathered the inevitable business cycles for over 45 years, but it has continued to grow and expand in finance, hospitality, insurance, real estate, energy and broadcast.

Ed Lasater, President of ICA, joined John in 1975, at the age of 22. Exhibiting the core values of ICA, Ed is an example of the loyalty and respect that John both gives and receives, as evidenced by Ed’s climb from a salesperson to the President of ICA. He manages the MCM Family of Hotels (MCM Eleganté and MCM Grandé FunDome) as well as the manufactured housing organization, A-1 Homes.
